Seller's Policy

2.1 Application and Approval

• Sellers must apply to join our platform.
• All applications will be reviewed before approval.
• Approval is at the sole discretion of tswanawana.com.

2.2 Shop Setup

• Upon approval, sellers can log in and set up their shop details.
• Sellers can list products on the website for free.
• Sellers may offer international shipping at their discretion.
• All international transactions must comply with both the origination and the destination country's laws and regulations.

2.3 Payment Processing

• All payments from buyers will be processed through PayPal.
• Funds will be held by PayPal for 21 days to ensure no returns or fraud, if PayPal is chosen as a payment option by the buyer.
• Funds will be held by tswanawana.com for 14 days, if other payment methods are chosen as a payment option by the buyer.
• PayPal charges 4.4% of the total amount (including shipping) plus $0.30 USD per transaction. This may subject to change at anytime by PayPal.
• tswanawana.com charges a 5%-10% commission on every order, excluding shipping fees. The exact percentage depends on the product category and seller performance. tswanawana.com reserves the right to change any charge at any time.

2.4 Payouts

• Sellers can request payouts once their balance reaches a certain threshold.
• Payouts will be processed within 48 hours via PayPal.

2.5 Security Deposit

• A minimum security deposit of P3000 is required.
• The actual amount varies according to the nature of the seller's products.
• This deposit will be used to compensate customers in cases of fraud or damages.
• If depleted, sellers must replenish the deposit within 24 hours or face suspension.
• Suspended shops will be deleted permanently after 1 month.
• Remaining deposit will be refunded upon shop closure.

2.6 Compliance

• Sellers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Botswana and SADC countries.
• Sellers must ensure their products comply with applicable mandatory standards and product safety laws.
• tswanawana.com reserves the right to remove any listings or suspend any sellers violating our policies.

2.7 Seller Performance Metrics

• Sellers will be evaluated based on factors such as shipping time, communication, item accuracy, and customer satisfaction/rating.
• High-performing sellers may receive benefits such as increased visibility in search results and lower commission rates.

2.8 Prohibited Items

The following items are not allowed to be sold on tswanawana.com:

• Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia
• Weapons and explosives
• Counterfeit items
• Recalled items
• Humans, human parts, or human remains
• Hazardous materials
• Items that infringe upon intellectual property rights
• Pornographic materials
